INTI International University formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Austrian Malaysian Society, represented by Dr Gerhard Berka, strengthening collaboration in support of working professional programmes.

03.06.2025 - Visit of MAGNA Steyr

Following the high level discussion in Rome on 3 July between Hon. Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, PM of Malaysia & the senior management of Austria-based Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH & Co KG, Ambassador Ikram Mohammad Ibrahim visited its headquarters in Graz, Styria on 7 July at the invitation of its VP, Mr. Martin Peter.

The Ambassador & delegation, comprising Mr. Wan Farulnizam Wan Mohd Faizul, Director of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Munich, Dr. Gerhard Berka, President of the Austrian-Malaysian Society, Mr. Christof Grabner, Founder of German/Austrian-Malaysian Roundtable Forum & Mr. Muhammad Azizi Aziz, First Secretary of the Embassy, had fruitful discussion with Mr. Peter Bredt, VP (Engineering Operations) & Mr. Alexander Gaugl, MD (Engineering Operations) on the past, present & future collaborations between Magna Steyr & Malaysian automobile companies.

04.12.2024 - Business networking lunch in Vienna

H.E. Ambassador Ikram Bin Mohammad Ibrahim hosted a Malaysia-Austria business networking luncheon with senior figures of Austrian companies and organisations, namely the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber/Advantage Austria, ANDRITZ Hydro, AT&S, Lohmann & Rauscher International, PAYER Group (Malaysian-owned) and Sumetzberger, as well as Germany/Austria-Malaysia Roundtable Forum and Austria-Malaysia Society.

18.10.2022 - Meeting with OUM in Penang

On Tuesday Oct 18 Gerhard Berka met Ass. Prof.Dr. Ahmad Izanee Awang, president of Open University Malaysia and his colleagues Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd Tajudin Md Ninggal and May Yeong to discuss relationship of ÖMG and OUM. We outlined a common framework and confirmed next steps.

05.04.2022 - Malaysia-Day in Vienna

On April 5th the first real event of the Austrian-Malaysian Society took place at Otto-Mauer-Zentrum in Vienna. Hon. Ikram Mohammad Ibrahim, Gerhard Berka and ass Prof Ille Gebeshuber presented special impressions of Malaysia. Mr Mark Macqueen moderated this event.
